The Killers Live @ Hull

Went to see The Killers at the Hull Ice Arena last night and it was easily one of the best concert I have ever been to. Both myself and Phil Hutchinson agreed it was such a small venue for a massive band as The Killers. When we walked into the arena, we were amazed to be able to walk right to the front, even though it was full. We decided to stand about 40 feet back, as we are getting on a bit and thought the 'mosh pit' at our age was a bit daunting! The ferformance was out of this world, it was only spoilt by some pissed up morons stumbling next to us. I had to keep putting on my blue UN helmet and stopping fights. One annoyed women took a flying kick at one of them! I think the smell of dope drifting around the arena eventually calmed them down.

Thailand Here I Come :-)

I've finally decided to do it and take the plunge. I'm off to Thailand in Decembe for 11 days by myself as I've got no friends to go with. My intinerary is as follows:

• 4th December Birmingham to Bangkok (arrive Bangkok 5th Dec)


• Staying 3 nights at The President Solitaire Hotel ( http://www.expedia.co.uk/pub/agent.dll?qscr=dspv&htid=911662&itid=12666988&from=i )


• Then its off to Phuket on the 8th December for 7 nights at the Phuket Hilton at karon Beach. ( http://www.expedia.co.uk/pub/agent.dll?qscr=dspv&itid=&itdx=&itty=&from=f&shtl=1 ) All very nice and luxurious Im sure you will agree.

Whilst Im there I will be keeping my Blog upto date with photos from all my day trips, etc. I've made sure the rooms all have wireless web access, cause im pretty sad like that plus I need to keep an eye on the job web sites whilst Im there :-(

I look forward to all the sarcastic comments re lady boys, etc.
